How long does it take to recruit a candidate?
It is important for us to fill your vacancy with the right long-term candidate. We therefore invest a lot of time and care in identifying, selecting and evaluating the right candidate.
Our approach is characterised by the fact that we present to you as many candidates as necessary, but all the candidates are absolutely suitable for the job. In most cases, we can complete a search within four months although the duration can be influenced by many individual aspects.
What is MTC’s fee structure?
Our fee is set by mutual agreement and is binding upon clarifying the assignment. It is based on the annual income of the position. We would be glad to contribute our market knowledge and our expertise to create a promising job profile that fits the market.
At the scheduled milestones, we will charge our fee based on the standard one-third rule. We attach importance to transparency and pricing security like our clients do. That is why we clarify all aspects of our fee structure in advance. We would be glad to explain all aspects of our fee structure in a personal meeting without commitment and based on the specifics of the position to be filled.
How does MTC find its candidates?
More than three decades of experience in executive search has given MTC an excellent network of high-ranking candidates. Our reputable, reliable work endorses us and guarantees us a broad range of contacts.
Candidates are identified in our in-house research of database, internet and networks and approached skilfully before they are included in the selection process. Depending on the position to be filled, our search in the hidden market is supplemented by an advertisement on an appropriate medium in rare cases.
What happens if a candidate leaves after signing with the company or during their probation period?
Your satisfaction is important to us. If a candidate withdraws before assuming their position or leaves the company during their probation period, we will recommence our search for the identical position but free of charge in this case.
What happens if no suitable candidate is found?
We feel responsible for developing a realistic market-oriented job description with you at the time the assignment was clarified. From the outset, we would openly address any critical points based on our knowledge of the market.
MTC only accepts assignments that we are convinced that we can fulfil. On accepting the assignment, we will work to fill the position until we have found a satisfactory candidate for you.
Q&A for candidates
What happens if MTC approaches me about a position?
One of our consultants has identified you and made contact based on a specific search request. We will discuss our candidate’s basic interest and the superficial match to the position without disclosing our client. If you are interested, you will receive an anonymous position specification that you can check yourself and respond with a resumé if you are interested.
If secondary phone calls confirm your interest and suitability – also based on your complete documents including references – then our consultant will arrange a personal interview.
You will receive honest and open feedback at all stages. If we can envisage you in the vacant position, we will create a confidential report, which will be submitted to our clients together with other candidates.
The client and MTC will then agree the next steps. In conclusion, MTC will let you know if talks are to be continued. MTC will usually accompany interviews with our client, so we can be your point of contact until the contract is concluded and up to the end of the probation period.
Is my data/my resumé secure at MTC?
MTC will only require your data as part of a specific executive search assignment. MTC has been working for decades as a reputable HR consultancy and is not a resumé dealer who tries to generate orders by sending such resumés to other companies without the knowledge of the candidate.
Will others find out about my contact with MTC?
No, never. MTC are reputable HR consultants and treat your data with absolute discretion. You will always either know or have given your prior consent for us to talk to a client about your profile.
Is there any point in sending my resumé unsolicited to MTC?
The likelihood that we will have an assignment to seek an executive who matches your profile perfectly just at that moment is relatively slim. The requirements and background of the perfectly matched candidate are defined too individually. You can still send us your profile, which we can then save on our system and consider it in future searches.
Will I incur costs when I sign up with my new employer via MTC?
MTC is tasked with filling a position from the company that is recruiting. The candidate incurs no costs since the fees are covered entirely by the client who has placed the order.
